It would make for an amazing family read-aloud and open up many important and needed conversations to address the modern-day challenges that children face and how to overcome them all through one’s identity in Jesus Christ, and the place of God’s infallible word in our life. Kingdom in the Redwoods was a fast read for my kids that was engaging in adventure and theological topics that my kids enjoyed. Kingdom in the Redwoods is a fun adventure story set in a fantasy world that’s a real page-turner. It uses allegory to explore real life issues, but more importantly, the story shines a light on Christ and what it means to be made in his image. As a homeschooling parent of four, I highly recommend this book. Even my daughter who doesn’t tend to pick fantasy books as her preferred genre loved it and finished it in a couple of days!
