This is the first book of a series that uses the life lessons of a farmgirl, set in England during the early 1900’s, to show different character qualities. In this story, Josephine wants to show her father that she can be responsible and you get to see how she strives to do that on her parent’s farm. It’s full of fun and lighthearted childish antics and has a heartwarming and relatable ending. I believe this can be a story that any age person will enjoy: the parent, grandparent, family member, and children alike. I want the artwork to be like Beatrix Potter and/or Aesope’s Fables Illustrated by Charles Santore. Along with the story, I desire for the artwork to be captivating enough to make the child want to sit and look at the pictures and be deeper connected to the story.
