Forever Unforgivable: Learning to forgive the inexcusable for Christ’s sake By Brent J. MacDonald

Brent J. MacDonald is a bible researcher with a focus on biblical archeology and the historicity of bible events. He hosts a private biblical archaeology museum in Nashville, Tennessee. As a pastor, he wants the church to apply God’s word to their everyday lives – reaching “the least of these.” For the past eighteen years, Brent has been the executive director of Cottage Cove Urban Ministries, a charity providing daily help for at-risk children and youth in Nashville. Brent is a frequent speaker both for Cottage Cove and its Discipleship Training Institute, plus his research materials and articles continue to be distributed by Lion Tracks Ministries. Beyond personal research in the bible lands, Brent regularly hosts on-site educational tours in Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, and Israel. Brent is married with two married sons and six grandchildren.

Forever Unforgivable considers the atrocious lives of fifteen men and women around the world, spanning from the time of Jesus to the present. Today’s “never forgive” environment calls on people to shun men and women merely accused of inappropriate behavior, much less convicted of it. This might be a “new norm,” yet Christians have always had to deal with this question. Forever Unforgivable poses the continuing questions: “Should the church be different? Are we willing to forgive, accept, and welcome formerly wicked people after they come to faith in Jesus Christ?” What would be your response if you met any of these fifteen formerly depraved individuals?
