Bonnie Griffee has dedicated over 25 years to the hearts and minds of young learners. As a veteran public school teacher and instructional coach across Indiana, Bonnie’s career is defined by a deep understanding of how children learn, grow, and gain confidence. With advanced licenses in school administration and exceptional needs, as well as certifications in STEM and early literacy through the Keys to Literacy program, she blends pedagogical expertise with a grandmother’s warmth.
Bonnie’s transition from the classroom to authorship was driven by a powerful family legacy. Inspired by the life of Todd J. Griffee—a Notre Dame All-American fencer—Bonnie set out to translate high-level success principles into a language children can grasp. Her mission is to instill the mantra “Nothing’s Impossible” in the next generation, providing them with the emotional and practical tools to turn their “big dreams” into reality.
As both an educator and a parent, I absolutely love TOUCHÉ: A Child’s Goal Setting Book! It’s a fun, inspiring read that combines playful rhymes with real-life lessons about setting and reaching goals. The sing-song rhythm makes it engaging for kids, and the built-in action steps give children space to think about their own dreams and how to achieve them.
What really makes this book stand out is the true story woven through the pages—a boy who followed these exact steps and went on to become a fencer in college. My students and my own kid were so inspired to see how someone of their age could turn a big dream into reality.
This isn’t just a storybook—it’s a guide, a journal, and a source of encouragement all in one. It’s the kind of book kids will want to come back to as their goals change and grow.
I highly recommend this book for any family or classroom. It sparks meaningful conversations, builds confidence, and shows children that their goals—whether big or small—are absolutely possible.

Touché: A Child’s Goal Setting Book authored by Bonnnie Jo Griffee, is an exciting new children’s book focused on how children can set goals and achieve their goals. It provides an interesting perspective that all too often we do not encourage our children to do which is creating goals and how to achieve the goals. The illustrations are fun, and light hearted. Highly recommend for children over 8 years old. Perfect book to help children learn about goal setting at a young age!

“A joyful mix of rhymes, real-life inspiration, and interactive goal-setting! This book empowers kids to dream big, take action, and believe in themselves.” ~Jennifer Oakley
Touché: A Child’s Goal Setting Book was inspired by Todd J. Griffee’s autobiography and self-help book called Touché: A Notre Dame All-American Fencer’s Spiritual Guide to Success. This children’s book was uniquely created to tell Todd’s story of how he made his dream come true through creating goals and believing in himself. His mantra “Nothing’s Impossible” is felt throughout the book. While telling Todd’s story, the book guides the reader through his steps to goal setting and supplies pages to write, draw and/or scribble ideas throughout. It was also designed to be a shared reading so that discussions could take place with family members, friends, and in classrooms. Included in the back of the book are vocabulary words with definitions and more information about fencing.
