Ray Dillman, PhD, is a Christian author, mentor, and retired United States Army Major whose life’s work is rooted in leadership, discipline, and spiritual formation. His unique voice blends decades of military service, academic leadership, and biblical instruction to equip men for faithful, courageous Christian living.
During his military career, Ray served in elite leadership roles including Green Beret, Army Ranger, Sniper School Commander, and Professor at the United States Military Academy (West Point). After retiring from military service, he spent ten years as a professor and director at Mid-America Christian University, continuing his commitment to shaping leaders of character and conviction.
In 2024, Ray launched Discipled Warriors Ministry, a faith-based initiative dedicated to educating and encouraging men to become the spiritual leaders God created them to be. His writing flows directly from this mission—clear, disciplined, Scripture-centered, and purpose-driven.
Who is God? How can I trust what the Bible teaches? How can I be the man God wants me to be? The Discipled Warriors Handbook is a transformational guide that leads us men in understanding who God is and how we can be the men God created us to be. This expertly crafted, biblically based program helps us understand our role as defined by Scripture and teaches us how to lead our lives to be the men that God intended for our families, our communities, and ourselves. This Handbook is a must-have for any man or group of men seeking strong, Christ-centered guidance to live meaningful lives in an increasingly turbulent world. I’ve personally witnessed the Discipled Warrior program bring powerful and positive change to men’s lives, as well as my own, and it will do the same for you. Use this invaluable guide to become the man God intends you to be.

There are times when you know that God is working through someone. Discipled Warriors is a ministry that God has called Ray Dillman to lead. I have seen the difference it has made in other men as well as myself. The Discipled Warriors Handbook captures the ministry by providing lessons that encourage men to connect with one another for friendship, accountability, encouragement, and challenge. I have personally seen this happen for the men who have gone through Discipled Warriors training. I would encourage any man to go through the study, especially if you don’t want to. I challenge you to invest the time to work through the lessons offered in the Discipled Warriors Handbook, with a group of men or by yourself, and see what God can do for you, your marriage, and your family.
