Thomas Hammond, Jr. is a man driven by a singular, urgent passion: to see the “Children of Light” live in a manner worthy of their calling. Born and raised in Southeast Texas, Thomas’s life has been anchored in the church, but his heart has been stirred by the growing gap between religious performance and biblical truth.
Currently serving as the Senior Pastor at Faith Heritage Tabernacle in Vidor, Texas, Thomas brings a message that is both stern and deeply affectionate. The title, To The Children of Light reveals not only the content of the book but Thomas’s heart and style. He has a burdened to share his heart with his fellow believers. He does so in a conversational manner as if involved in a one-on-one, heart-to-heart chat. Simultaneously, he addresses the Church in general the church at large, the local church, leaders in the church, people of the pew, and even himself. It is clear that he loves the Lord with all his heart, cares deeply about the people, and is fully committed to the ministry as a service to Christ and people. In everything he shares, he invokes the Scriptures as the foundation and burden. Though not explicitly mentioned, his message is one of getting back to the basics of Christianity — love of God, obeying His word, serving Him all out, loving the family of God, and reaching out to the lost. It is heartening to see one of this generation so committed to living true Christianity and to leading and inspiring others to do likewise.

Tradition of men, Confusion, Superficial, Cultural Compromise, To the Children of Light speaks directly to those individuals who see it, are tired of a shallow faith, religious performance, and moral compromise, and yet have no clear direction given as to how to move forward. It challenges believers not just to claim Christ but to emulate Him through a combined love for and obedience to His commands. While this book was written with a stern message, it was born out of love. This book is a call for the “bride to make herself ready!” This is a call to you CHILDREN OF LIGHT to rise and fulfill God’s design for you and the church!

Well I’ve read this book and it’s definitely a eye opener to things and is very enlightening I’m not big reader but reading this made start reading more and thinking about things especially reading more into my bible more it’ll definitely help if your trying to find a light within yourself
